The customer contacted us for put-back, door realignment, and utility space repairs following a water heater and HVAC maintenance leak. Overflowing water from the utility heater pan had seeped across the closet floor and into the adjacent carpeted bedroom, leaving the utility closet concrete stained and causing the sliding bypass closet doors to stick, derail from their track, and suffer surface impact damage.
We provided a comprehensive put-back, hardware adjustment, and interior repair solution. Our technicians cleared the utility closet floor, removed corrosion, and cleaned the stained concrete substrate surrounding the water heater and furnace units. We then inspected, rehung, and realigned the sliding bypass closet doors on their overhead tracks, replacing worn bottom floor guides to ensure smooth sliding operation. Finally, we repaired minor surface gouges and puncturing on the door slab with wood filler, sanded the surface flush, and applied matching paint to restore the doors to pre-loss condition.
