The customer contacted us for commercial water damage mitigation after a plumbing supply leak flooded the hallways and common areas of a children's learning facility. Moisture migrated rapidly across commercial glue-down carpeting and wicked upward into the lower drywall and vinyl cove baseboards, causing peeling paint, drywall swelling, and potential mould risks.
We carried out an emergency commercial water extraction and targeted structural drying operation. Our technicians detached saturated vinyl baseboards along the hallway perimeters and drilled precision weep holes at the base of the drywall to allow airflow into the damp wall cavities. We treated the affected wall bases with an EPA-registered antimicrobial biocide to prevent microbial growth. Finally, we deployed low-profile commercial centrifugal air movers and high-capacity dehumidifiers across the carpeted floor plan to accelerate evaporation and restore moisture levels to dry standards.
