The customer contacted us for professional mold mitigation and structural inspection after discovering microbial growth and water staining near the ceiling seam in the main living room of their newly purchased home. An underlying roof leak, attic moisture buildup, or compromised ceiling insulation caused chronic moisture seepage along the upper drywall joint, resulting in peeling plaster, seam cracking, and active mold colonization.
We provided a comprehensive mold remediation, moisture assessment, and containment solution to safeguard the new homeowners' indoor living environment. Our technicians established critical containment and set up HEPA-filtered air scrubbers to capture airborne spores during the remediation process. We conducted precision moisture tracking across the ceiling and wall cavities to determine the extent of moisture migration from the attic space above. We then safely removed the contaminated, deteriorated drywall and plaster sections along the upper wall seam, performed HEPA vacuuming of the exposed structural framing, and applied an EPA-registered antimicrobial biocide to eradicate fungal roots and prevent future mold growth prior to drywall reconstruction.
