The customer contacted us for carpentry put-back and finish reconstruction services after door casing and structural framing were damaged during previous demolition or mitigation work. A basement utility entryway was left incomplete with missing vertical door trim, exposing unpainted drywall and raw rough-in framing, while adjacent wood door jambs and casing suffered splintering and fracture damage from forced detachment.
We executed a comprehensive interior carpentry restoration and put-back solution to restore the door frame to pre-loss condition. Our technicians pulled exposed finishing nails, sanded damaged rough framing, and cleaned out the recessed casing margins. We measured, cut, and installed matching replacement wood door trim and casing along the doorway perimeter, securing it firmly to the structural wood studs. We then repaired splintered jamb corners using high-grade wood filler and structural epoxy, caulked all trim seams flush with the surrounding drywall, and prepped the new trim with primer and matching interior paint for a seamless finish.
