The customer reached out due to a persistent mold smell lingering throughout their house, which was traced back to visible mold growth spreading along the basement walls. The property had experienced a history of multiple past floods, leading to long-term moisture retention behind wood panelling, within the framing, and along the porous concrete block foundations.
Our team executed a comprehensive residential mold remediation and basement moisture control protocol to isolate, treat, and eliminate the contamination at its source. We began by removing compromised structural elements, including sections of wood panelling and saturated drywall base materials, to expose the hidden wall cavities and timber framing for detailed inspection. After establishing containment and cleaning the exposed studs, we treated the affected concrete block joints and drainage areas with professional-grade antimicrobial agents to eradicate active mold spores, neutralize odors, and protect the home from recurring microbial growth stemming from past flood water accumulation.
