The customer requested professional mold mitigation after a chronic structural or roof leak permitted water to seep into the ceiling cavity above an entryway. The continuous moisture retention rotted the structural wood framing and created heavy, localized black mold growth behind the ceiling drywall and within the spray foam insulation layers, requiring hazardous material containment and remediation.
We executed a precise mold remediation and source-area cleanup program by setting up high-intensity work lighting and safety ladders to establish a controlled containment zone within the affected room. Our team performed a targeted demolition to cut away the contaminated ceiling drywall, exposing the internal floor joists, metal support tracks, and water-damaged spray foam insulation. We then treated the blackened, rotted timber framing with industrial antimicrobial counter-agents and performed precision scraping to eradicate the mold spores at the source, preparing the structural cavity for safe sanitization and structural drying.
