The customer reached out after discovering a persistent ceiling leak that had caused significant structural damage to the attic and roof decking. Over time, the moisture intrusion led to severe wood rot, the formation of fungal growth, and the deterioration of the oriented strand board (OSB) panels and supporting wooden joists.
We implemented a multi-stage structural restoration and mold remediation plan. Our team conducted a thorough inspection of the attic cavity to identify the moisture source and assessed the extent of the wood decay. We performed professional mold remediation, including antimicrobial fogging and detailed cleaning of the affected lumber. To restore structural integrity, we removed saturated insulation and treated the rotted wood surfaces to stabilize the environment, preparing the attic space for necessary structural repairs and ensuring a healthy, moisture-free home.
